“Having the opportunity to fully focus on my education has always been my priority. During the fall semester and in this current semester, I have been gifted with the opportunity to solely focus on all my college courses due to concurrent enrollment. My time throughout these past semesters has been dedicated only to studying and creating new educational resources for myself in order to maintain my 4.0 GPA on my college transcript. The ability to continue an educational career is a privilege for students like myself. Receiving the Dorothy Osborn Barry Education Fund Scholarship allows me to become the best, successful student I can possibly be. My goal is to serve my community when I become a registered nurse, but I’d like to do so to the best of my ability, the way the community of Aurora has served me the past seventeen years.”
