Annie Thompson joined Aurora Public Schools Foundation in July 2026 as the new Director of Development. She comes to us from Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, where she managed an individual donor portfolio and the Associate Board, raising more than $2.4 million during her three-and-a-half year tenure. Previously, she held nonprofit fundraising roles at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, Brent’s Place and Invest in Kids, overseeing fundraising campaigns, marketing, events, database management, donor stewardship, young professionals groups, individual giving and corporate partnerships. Annie is driven by a passion for equity and creating access to opportunity for children and youth. She is excited to join the APS Foundation team in making a positive impact in the lives of APS students.
Annie graduated with a BS in Recreation Management and Youth Leadership from Brigham Young University, and earned an MPA in Nonprofit Management and Policy Analysis from Indiana University. She grew up in Washington state and loves hiking, running, traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
