APS Foundation Scholarships

The following scholarships are available through our common application. Please be sure to read the detailed list of each scholarship to make sure you are eligible and see all requirements.

The APS Foundation Scholarship
*Two, $1,000, scholarships of higher education.
* Applicants must be a graduating senior from an APS High School.
* A cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0

Richard Anderson and Anderson Family Autism Scholarship
* One $1,000 scholarship
* The objective of this scholarship is to award an Autistic student who may not otherwise have a chance to further their education after high school.
* A cumulative minimum GPA of 2.0

Bob Caviness Scholarship
* One $1,000 scholarship
* A Cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5
* Accepted to an accredited college/university/community/technical school

Denise Davis Teen Parent Scholarship
* One $1,000 scholarship
* Be a teen parent
* Demonstrate financial need
* Demonstrate involvement in school or community service activities
* Show proof of acceptance at the intended school

Gerkin Family Expository Writing Scholarship
* One $1,000 scholarship
* Must be accepted at an accredited college/university/technical school
* A cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0

T. Matt Hirschfeld Scholarship (Gateway Students Only)
* One $2,000 scholarship for a student attending a 4-year institution or One $1,000 scholarship for a student attending a 2-year institution. ($500 each year)
* Must be a graduating senior from Gateway High School
* A cumulative minimum GPA between 2.0 to 3.25

* One $2,000 scholarship
* Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Plan to attend college by the fall following high school graduation to study theatre, drama or music

* One $2,000 scholarship
* A cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0
* Demonstrated aspiration to establish a career in the teaching profession

The Myrtle Replogle Travis and Russell Romayne Travis Memorial Scholarship (Aurora Central Students Only)
* One $2,000 scholarship
* A high value of scholarship and achievement
* A wholesome influence upon others; A genuine concern for those in need; An abiding personal faith; No racial discrimination; and No involvement with drugs or alcohol
* Low income family member
* Must be a graduating senior from Aurora Central High School and rank within the top half of your class as of the end of the first semester of your senior year

at each of the following high schools: Aurora Central, Aurora West, Hinkley, Gateway, Rangeview, and Vista Peak.
